India Remained Unbeaten With a Resounding Win Over West Indies.


Manchester witnessed the battle of Underdogs Windies taking on Resounding india on a bright sunny day. India after winning the toss decided to bat first on a good wicket, india came into this match unbeaten in this event,  while as windies who came closer against the new zealand at the same venue but couldn't make it up. India started on a good note but windies continued to take wickets on regular intervals to stop the indian juggernaut. From indian batting Rohit sharma failed to make an impact again and couldn't make a big score. Only virat kohli was the star of the day in indian innings with a solid 72. KL rahul also made a handy 48. In the death overs MS Dhoni and Hardik pandya played some good shots to take the indian total par 250 and finished on 268-7 in alloted 50 overs setting up a competitive target to windies infront of a world class bowling line up of india.
For windies kemar roach was the pick of the bowlers picking up three for 36 while as holder and cotrell picked up a couple of wickets both.
Chasing a target of 269 west indies never looked into this game as indian bowlers destroyed windies whole batting line up. No west indies batsmen showed resistance infront of the likes of bumrah and shami. Sunil ambris playing his first match of the world cup showed some resistance with a handy 31. Rest of the carribean batsmen couldn't even cross the ten run mark and handed india a huge 125 run win to india. With this win india remained unbeaten in this event and strengthen the chances of reaching top four. For india mohammad shami was the star with bowl having an impressive figures of 4-16 followed by Jasprit bumrah who was most economical bowler with a figures of 2-9 in six overs. This was the one sided contest Where windies innings folded inside 35 overs.
