Pakistan Bounced Back Strongly to Knock South Africa Out of World Cup.

Lords the home of cricket witnessed the battle of ice and fire today. South africa who were not convincing in this tournament with only one win in five games locked horns with Pakistan who came into this match after a disaster defeat against india at manchester last sunday. Today's battle was virtually a knock out for both the teams. Sarfraz ahmad who made a wrong call on Sunday for opting to feild against india after which he was trolled and he faced serious backlashes. Pakistan made crucial two changes as hasan ali and malik were opted out in place of haris sohail and shaheen afridi. But haris sohail continued to play shots.The inclusion of haris sohail was the strong point in todays game and he went on to became the top scorer with 89 runs. He  and imad wasim joined in a fastest fifty stand of Pakistan innings which helped Pakistan piled up 308 for the loss of seven in alloted 50 overs setting up a stiff target to the average looking proteas side. For south africa lungi nigidi picked up three wickets and Imran tahir also picked up a couple.
Chasing 309 to victory south africa never looked into this chase as they lost hashim amla cheaply for two of the bowling of amir. After that skipper du plessis and de kock did some repairs and added 87 to the second wicket before de kock was dismissed on 47 by shadab khan.

Rassie van der dussen showed some resilience but became the victim of excessively climbing asking rate. Miller was the final nail in south african batting coffin as he castled by shaheen afridi to shock the hopes of reaching into top four. Mohammad amir who is having a superb world cup continues to pick wickets. He took the crucial two wickets.Pakistan dropped six catches in this match and didn't feild like professionals. For pakistan wahab and shadab picked up three wickets each. In the end south africa only managed to score 259-9 in 50 overs falling short by 49 runs and are out of the world cup 2019. With this win Pakistan move behind Bangladesh on number seven with five points.
