Shakib's All Round Show Sinks Afghanistan.

Hampshire bowl hosted its final match of this years icc cricket world cup between Afghanistan who are virtually out of this competition and Bangladesh who were looking to boost their semi final chances. After winning the toss Afghanistan captain gulbadin naib decided to bowl on a tricky hampshire wicket with a thought of troubling Bangladeshi batsmen with spin like they did against india. But soon this decision was proved pretty much wrong by the high class Bangladeshi batting. Tamim failed after a good start again and fell for 36 to mohammad nabi.  Afghanistani bowlers didn't troubled too much the experience trio of shakib, Mahmadullah and Mushfiqur. Only Mushfiq and shakib were the star of the show by solid batting displays.  Shakib al hassan who is having a dream world cup cracked another half century with mushfiqur also playing some high class batting shots. Mushfiqur made a superb 83 before being dismissed by Dawlat Zadran. Some late order burst by Mossadek hossain and mahmadullah ensured Bangladesh reached a competitive  262-7 in alloted 50 overs. For Afghanistan mujeeb ur rehman was the star of the show with crucial three wickets and Gulbaden naib also picked up a couple of wickets.
Chasing a stiff 263 runs Afghanistan opening new opening pair of gulbaden Naib and Rahmat shah started strongly and added 49 before rahmat was dismissed by shakib al hassan.
After that bangladeshi bowlers ensured Afghanistani batting couldn't be in that run chase. Regular wickets on regular intervals kept Afghanistan batsmen in check. Shakib al hassan becomes the only Bangladeshi bowler to pick up a five wicket haul. He is having a superb tournament already. Shakib also becomes the second all rounder in world cup history who scored a half century and picked up a five wicket haul. Only Samiullah Shenwari and Gulbadin Naib were the stars for Afghanistan in batting. Rest of the Afghanistan batting failed to impress as they suffered their sixth successive loss in this world cup. Afghanistan were folded for just 200 in 47 overs falling short by 62 runs. With this win Bangladesh reached the fifth spot with seven points on the table.
