England Declared Winners on Boundaries Count After Dramatic Final Ended in a thrilling tie

Lord's London hosted one of the most anticipated Contests ever in the world cup history. With both teams on the Even Sides before the start of this contest, toss played a critical role on an overcast morning. Skipper kane williamson won an all important toss in this epic finals. No team were favorites before the start of this contest and both teams were still to lift up this Elite title. New zealand after batting first managed only 241-8 in alloted fifty overs setting up a competative target for england to chase. New zealand opening batsmen martin guptill failed to show some impact in this game also and failed to score runs. Henry nicholls and tom latham were the top scorers for new zealand in this all important contest, NZ who were playing his Second Succesive finals of the mega events failed in this evenly contest. For england in bowling liam plunkett and chris woakes were the pick of the bowlers for england. Chasing a competitive but not the huge one for Mighty English batting line up,  but the pressure of finals produced a huge one as england crumbled too in this run chase. England were very much in trouble as they lost their top four batsmen at a score of 86 runs, as the chase got stiffer ben stokes and jos buttler joined in one of the most crucial stands ever in this event. Both joined the crucial 110 runs stand for the fifth wicket before lockie ferguson dismissed buttler to add more twist in the game. After that wickets on regular intervals peg back england to achieve the landmark. It all went down to the final over as england needed 15 from last over with just two wickets left. Trent boult bowled two dot balls as pressure went back to england, on the third ball of the last over stokes skied one to long leg for six as target went down 9 from 3 balls. The forth ball of the final over stokes took two runs back to the long on but that overthrow bouncing from the ben stokes bat and went for four runs. On the last ball england with two runs required they managed only one run to set up the super over. Ben stokes was the star for england who anchored the chase and took england to closer of this target. Ben stokes made a handy 84 not out. For new zealand in bowling neesham and lockie ferguson took up three wickets each.
This was only the second time in world cup history that a knock out game finished as a tie after the semi final of 1999 world cup between south africa and australia.
In semi over england's jos buttler and ben stokes hit trent bowler for 15 runs to set up 16 runs target for nz to chase and win this title.
Replying to that super over kiwi's opted jimmy neesham and martin guptill but they only managed 15 with a last ball run out of guptill and the super over also ended in a dramatic tie.
As per the rules England were declared winners who hit 22 boundaries in their innings of 50 overs. After that win England managed to grip their hand for the very first time on the mega event after 45 long years since the innaugral event took place at the same venue back in 1975.
