Rohit, Bumrah blows Bangladesh to reach Semi's Despite Saifuddin's Effort.

Bangladesh and india faced each other in birmingham today.  It was Bangladesh's do or die match to stay in the hunt for the race of semi finals,  but Bangladesh was eliminated from the race of top four by the strong all round performances from india. Virat kohli won the toss and decided to bat on a flat wicket and this decision proved wright for kohli as both the indian openers piled a mountain of runs. After a drop catch of rohit sharma in the starting phase of the innings, he went on the rampage and continued his top form by slamming his fourth ton of this event.He and rahul joined to put on 180 runs for the opening wicket. KL rahul aslo cracked his half century before he was dismissed on 77 by Rubel hussain. Rohit sharma falls for well made 104 to part time soumya sarkar.With this ton rohit sharma becomes the leading run scorer of this event surpassing david warner. After that india couldn't captilize on the strong opening stand and lost the momentum in the death overs. India lost wickets at regular intervals as mustafizur rehman takes the most of that wickets. Mustafizur was the star for Bangladesh as he took a five wicket haul to have india in check. Rishab pant do played some good shots but couldn't convert that start into the fifty. He falls for well made 48. In alloted fifty overs india finished on 314-9 setting a competitive total before Bangladesh.
In reply  Bangladesh started on a good note but lost momemtum that was needed in the chase. Only shakib al hassan who is having his best of tournaments so far cracked another half century to leave indian bowlers on a furious note. Hardik pandya was the main weapon that india used to tackle the tigers. He took three for 60 to leave Bangladesh in complete tatters. His wickets includes the prized wicket of shakib al hassan also who was dismissed on 66. Shabbir rehman and saifuddin do showed some resilience for the seventh wicket.  Both put on 66 runs for the seventh wicket before shabbir was dismissed by bumrah yorker to end Bangladesh hopes. However mohammad saifuddin showed some resistant to raise some hopes of chasing but failed in the end as bumrah castled two wickets in two balls to restrict Bangladesh on 286 in 48 overs to set a win by 28 runs and became the second team after Australia to qualify for semi finals. For india bumrah was the top wicket taker with a figures of 4-55 supported by hardik pandya with a figures of 3-60.
