Rohit Slams Fifth Ton in this world cup to Finish league with a resounding win over Sri lanka.

Leeds hosted the last league match between india and sri lanka,  was much of a dead rubber as sri lanka was already out of the event. Rohit sharma, KL rahul and angelo matthews were the centurions today.  Rohit sharma becomes the first player in the history of world cups to crack five tons in a single event. After srilanka opted to bat they had a disaster of a start as they lost four wickets for 55 runs after that angelo matthews and thirimane did the rescue with a 124 run stand for the fifth wicket to lift sri lanka to a competitive 264-7 in fifty overs. For india jasprit bumrah again was the pick of the bowlers with a figures of 3-37 in ten overs.
Chasing a target of 265 indian batsmen did it very easily as rohit sharma and rahul cracked centuries to do the task for them inside 44 overs for the loss of just three wickets. Rohit Sharma cracked his fifth ton of this world cup and became the only player to do so in world cups.
With this win india finished the league stage with seven wins in nine matches.
