Shaheen Afridi, Imam Ul Haq and Babar Azam Ensures Pakistan finishes World Cup with a Resounding Win.

Lords hosted Pakistan and Bangladesh for the one last time in this world cup. Initially this contest was the most anticipated one but after england won their remaining two matches and contributed to the Pakistan's elimination. Pakistan needed to win with a margin of 315 after scoring 400 in this match to advance for the semi finals. Most probably it was the impossible task for pakistan to turn it on.
Sarfraz did the right thing with coin winning the toss because if he would have lost the toss pakistan would have been eliminated before the start of the contest.pakistan wanted to win this to finish on points tie with new zealand at 11.After batting first out of touch fakhar zaman falls early at a score of  13, then imam ul haq and babar azam laid the strong foundation for Pakistan. Both the batsmen put on 157 runs for the second wicket. Babar azam continued his super form and notched another half century but was unlucky as he was dismissed for well made 96 by saifuddin, falling short by just 4 runs to what would have been his second ton in this world cup. Soon imam ul haq becomes the first 23 year batsmen for Pakistan to crack a ton in world cup and that too at lords. After imam ul haq got dismissed on 100 un-luckily by hit-wicket, pakistan collapsed from 246-2 to 315-9 in 50 overs. Mustafizur desroyed the middle order of Pakistan innings with a gutsy five wicket haul. Only imad wasim's 43 was the highlight in middle order for pakistan that lifted them to 315.
Mustafizur was the star with the figures of 5-75. Chasing a competitive 316 Bangladesh lost momentum early as they lost their openers tamim and sarkar under 50 runs. After that shakib al hassan tried to rebuild the innings with another half century. But after shakib ul hassan falls for 64 to shaheen afridi, bangladesh collapsed and were folded on 221 in 44.1 overs falling short by 94 runs. Shaheen shah afridi blowed the Bangladeshi innings with a class figures of 6-35 and becomes the first and youngest ever bowler at 19 to take six wickets in a world cup even. With this win pakistan finished on number five with 11 points below New Zealand who has the same points 11 but Net run rate much above Pakistan. Pakistan won their last four matches in a row to set up a fantastic end to their world cup campaign.
